Gaurav is the co-founder at Barooah & Dutta since April, 2021. Gaurav is considered as an astute litigator and negotiator and one of the most upcoming practitioners in the North-East Region. After doing his LL.B from Mumbai University, Gaurav joined a litigating law firm “Fides & Fiducia” in New Delhi where he worked for a period of two years in both Civil and Criminal litigation. At the same time, he was working as a research associate at Indian National Bar Association (INBA) where he got the opportunity to work very closely with Ram Jethmalani helping him in his research work.

After his two years of practice in Delhi, Gaurav moved to Mumbai where he initially joined a corporate law firm Astute Law and got into the practice of Corporate Litigation. After his brief stint with Astute Law, he started counsel practice and joined the chamber of Justice M M Sathaye at Bombay High Court. After that he has shifted to Gauhati in the year 2020 and joined the chamber of Sr Advocate Dilip Mozumder and has been practicing at Gauhati High Court since then.
